Tehran (IP) - The first round of the JCPOA Joint Commission meeting, which resumed today in Vienna with the presence of the Iranian and P4 + 1 delegations, ended. At this meeting, the participating delegations decided to speed up the negotiation process.

Iran PressEurope: The participants in the meeting decided to speed up the talks and agreed to continue the activities of the expert groups in the two areas of lifting sanctions and nuclear.

It was also decided to set up a third expert group called the "Executive Arrangements Expert Group" to discuss the practical arrangements needed to implement the lifting of sanctions and then return the United States to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Iranian negotiators in the negotiating process stressed the need to speed up the negotiations and not to grapple with the attritional process.

Earlier in the day, in an important trilateral meeting between the heads of delegations of Iran, Russia, and China, the parties stressed the need for full coordination between the three countries and the need for a joint lifting of sanctions against Iran.

In the same context, two meetings were held today between Deputy FM Araghchi and European diplomat Enrique Mora.

Accelerating the negotiation process and preventing its attrition has been one of the emphases of the Iranian side in these negotiations.
