Tehran (IP) - Iran's government spokesman at his weekly presser warned that Iran reserves its very own right to act against the perpetrators, and masterminds of the Natanz terrorist incident.

Iran PressIran News: Iran's Government Spokesman Ali Rabiee who was speaking at his weekly presser on Tuesday referred to Natanz terrorist incident, saying: "The Islamic Republic of Iran, while condemning this desperate move and emphasizing the need for the international community and the International Atomic Energy Agency to deal with this nuclear terrorism, reserves the right to take action against the perpetrators, and masterminds behind this attack."

Rabiee told reporters in a press conference: "On Sunday, a terrorist and sabotage attack took place in Natanz, which also caused damage."

He added: "The action taken against the Natanz enrichment facility shows the defeat of the enemies of Iran's industrial and political progress to prevent the significant development of the country on the one hand, and the successful negotiations to lift the oppressive sanctions on the other."

Rabiee said: "Also, to thwart the goals of the masterminds of this terrorist movement, the Islamic Republic of Iran will continue to seriously develop nuclear technology on the one hand and try to lift the oppressive sanctions on the other hand."

He stressed: "Although this sabotage has temporarily caused limited damage to the enrichment activity, the Atomic Energy Organization has assured that in a short time a large part of the damage will be compensated and newer technologies will be used in the reconstruction process according to the decision made."

Rabiee added: "It is quite clear to us that the root of this terrorist act is the anger of the Zionist enemies against the efforts of Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action members to fully revive this agreement in recent weeks, and its ultimate goal is to prevent the continuation of this constructive diplomatic process."

He stressed: "Of course, we are committed to retaliation at the same time and with the same intensity, but we will not allow the enemies to achieve their political goals."

He added: "We expect all parties to the JCPOA, as well as the US government, which considers itself a supporter of diplomacy, to condemn this attack and to declare their commitment to the conflict between acts of sabotage and terrorism and the ongoing diplomatic process."

Rabiee said: "The response to the sabotage at the Natanz nuclear site will be given in a timely manner. It is quite clear to us that the root of this action is anger due to the efforts of JCPOA parties to revive it."

5-year document of bilateral cooperation between Iran and Russia

In another part of his remarks, referring to the visit of the Russian Foreign Minister to Iran, and calling Iran and Russia as victims of US unilateral sanctions, Rabiee said: "This visit was made to expand bilateral cooperation. Accordingly, the visit is to extend the five-year document of bilateral cooperation (the agreement on establishment and setting framework of activities of cultural centers), which will be signed by the two foreign ministers. They also discussed the Vienna talks and the lifting of sanctions."
