Tehran (IP) – Iran's Health Ministry spokeswoman announced on Thursday that in the past 24 hours, 89 COVID-19 patients had lost their lives, bringing the total death toll to 61,581.

Iran Press/Iran News: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to March 18, 2021, newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 7,530 cases out of whom 673 patients were hospitalized, Sima Sadat Lari stated.

1,778,645 people in the country had been infected with the coronavirus, and 1,521,377 recovered, she added.

Lari noted that 3,866 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition.

So far, 11,976,428 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across the country, the Health Ministry spokeswoman pointed.

According to the latest analysis, 9 cities are classified as red zones, 31 as orange, 259 as yellow, and 113 as blue zones.
