Tehran (IP) – The special representative of the Pakistan prime minister for Afghanistan met the Iranian Foreign Minister, discussing the peace process in Afghanistan.

Iran PressIran News: Special Representative of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mohammad Sadiq, visited Iran yesterday at the head of a political-security delegation to consult on Afghan affairs.

At the end of his consultations, he met the Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif yesterday evening.

Zarif stressed the need for regional cooperation to help establish peace in Afghanistan and preserve the achievements of its people.

This is Mohammad Sadiq's first official visit to Iran as Pakistan's special representative for Afghanistan.

Earlier, special envoys from Iran and Pakistan met on the sidelines of Zarif's visit to Islamabad in November 2020.
