Tehran (IP) - Iran's Health Minister said despite sanctions and economic pressures, Iran has successfully contained the COVID-19.

Iran Press/Iran News: Speaking at the unveiling ceremony of IRGC Ground Forces' mobile hospital, Saeed Namaki said Iran’s enemies had not hidden their exhilaration regarding the death of Iranians due to coronavirus, while they had been unable to control the COVID-19 with up-to-date medical equipment.

He stated that the coronavirus had been an unprecedented phenomenon ever during 150 years which challenged the world.

"In compliance with all health protocols, the Leader's order to establish National Task Force for Fighting Coronavirus amid sanctions and maximum economic pressures, the Iranian could contain the virus," he said.

The minister noted that Iran had turned into a producer and exporter in anti-coronavirus items (like masks, ventilators, and disinfectants).
