Tehran (IP) - Saeed Mohammad, ex-Commander of Khatam-ul- Anbia Headquarters, says he would register for Iran's upcoming presidential election.

Iran PressIran News: Major General Hossein Salami, the chief commander of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), appointed Brigadier General Hossein Hooshi-Sadat, as commander of Khatam-ul-Anbia Headquarters. 

General Salami also appreciated the efforts of Saeed Mohammad during his tenure as the commander of the Headquarters and appointed him as his advisor.

General Hooshi-Sadat was formerly the Deputy Chief of IRGC for Engineering and Civil Defense Department.

Previously, former defense minister Hossein Dehghan and former senior legislator Ali Motahhari confirmed their bid for the top political office.

In addition, the names of many other former officials have come up as potential candidates.

Iran’s thirteenth presidential election will be held on June 18, and people would go to the polls to choose the country’s eighth president. Also, the sixth local councils’ elections will be held on the same day.
