Hormozgan (IP): Managing Director of Iran's Port and Maritime Organization announced the construction of Iran's largest commercial port in the Oman Sea, in the Kuh Mobarak of Jask, Hormozgan province (southern Iran).

 Iran PressIran news: Mohammad Rastad, Managing Director of Iran's Port and Maritime Organization said on Saturday that a new large commercial port with the ability to dock ocean-going vessels would be built along the Makran coast. The construction of this port is planned in three stages and the capacity planned for it is between 100 and 200 million tons.

PMO Managing Director added: "Considering the fact that container transport has the largest share in maritime trade in the world today, with the construction of this port, Iran will be closer to the east-west world trade route outside the Strait of Hormuz."

Kuh Mobarak is one of the cities of Hormozgan province in the south of Iran and east of Hormozgan province and is located in the desert part of Jask city and on the shores of the Oman Sea.
