Tehran (IP) - Iran's Ministry of Health spokeswoman announced on Monday that the total death toll from the COVID-19 in the country has surpassed 59,000.

Iran Press/Iran News: Sima Sadat Lari announced that 1,526,023 people in the country had been infected with the coronavirus, and 1,304,330 recovered.

 

According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to February 15, 2021, newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 7,760 cases out of whom 784 patients were hospitalized, Lari stated.

She noted that in the past 24 hours, 83 COVID-19 patients had lost their lives, bringing the total death toll to 59,028.

3,704 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition, according to the spokeswoman.

So far, 10,105,080 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across the country, the Health Ministry spokeswoman pointed.

According to the latest analysis, 9 cities are in red, 39 in orange, 228 are in yellow, and 172 are in the blue zones.
