Baku (IP) - During a meeting with the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Iranian Foreign Minister announced Tehran's readiness to participate in the reconstruction of the liberated areas located on the two countries' borders.

Iran Press/Asia: On Monday, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif met with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and described the new phase as an important moment to establish peace and stability in the region the interests of all sides.

Zarif expressed satisfaction that the Republic of Azerbaijan and Iran's officials' intensive meetings have expanded to a reasonable level in recent months.

Stating that we believe that there are no limitations for cooperation, Zarif announced the full readiness of various economic sectors in Iran to actively participate in the Republic of Azerbaijan's economic projects and establish peace in the region.

During the meeting, the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jihun Bayramov, called the relations between the two countries based on friendship and historical and cultural commonalities and appreciated the Islamic Republic of Iran's position Azerbaijan territorial integrity and sovereignty.

The Iranian Foreign Minister arrived in Baku, the Republic of Azerbaijan, on Sunday evening.

Zarif met Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on Monday morning and stressed the need to expand bilateral cooperation.

After Azerbaijan, he is scheduled to travel to Russia, Armenia, Georgia, and Turkey.
