WhatsApp requires users to share data with Facebook

WhatsApp users will have to agree to share their personal data with Facebook if they want to continue using the messaging app after next month.

Iran Press/America: The app notified users this week that its privacy policy would be updated, and that users would have to “agree” to share information, including their phone number and location, with Facebook

If users don’t agree to the new terms by February 8, 2021, they will lose access to their accounts.

“By tapping Agree, you accept the new terms and privacy policy, which take effect on February 8, 2021,” the notification reads. “After this date, you’ll need to accept these updates to continue using WhatsApp.”
