Tehran (IP) - The Iranian president introduced Ahmad Pakatchi as the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to the Director-General of the organization.

Iran PressIran news: At the suggestion of Mansour Gholami, Iranian Minister of Science, Research and Technology, Ahmad Pakatchi was appointed Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) with the consent and decree of President Hassan Rouhani and Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.

Ahmad Pakatchi is a graduate of the University of Tehran in History, a graduate of Farabi University in Almaty in Religious Studies and Historical Linguistics and an Associate Professor at the Institute of Humanities and Cultural Studies.

Ahmad Jalali, a philosophy graduate at Oxford University, is a member of the faculty of Allameh Tabatabai University. He has provided significant cultural services in the Islamic Republic since the early days of the victory of the Islamic Revolution and is a well-known figure in scientific and cultural circles.

Ahmad Jalali, the former Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to UNESCO was thanked for his services during his tenure.
