Iran Press/ Iran news: Following the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Athletics Federation and Astan Quds Razavi, the Imam Reza (AS) Stadium in the holy city of Mashhad, which was previously introduced as the athletics training base of Islamic countries, by establishing a talent identification and training center called the Specialized Academy of Athletics, will identify and train adolescents and young people talented in basic and medal-winning sports (athletics), especially in deprived areas.
After the presence of Dahlan Al- Hamad, President of the Asian Athletics Confederation in Iran in December of this year, and talks with Hashem Siyami, President of our country's Athletics Federation, Al- Hamad was to visit the equipped and specialized stadium of Imam Reza (AS) soon.
This complex is supposed to cover the talent and training center in the basic age groups of athletes, and at the same time, by holding camps and competitions, the potential capacities of the Imam Reza (AS) complex will be used in the best possible way.
Other achievements of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Athletics Federation and Astan Quds Razavi are the holding of international athletics competitions under the title "Imam Reza Cup" in this sports complex the proposal to register these competitions in the calendar of the Asian Athletics Confederation.
