Iran Press/Iran News: On Thursday, Nasir Abdul Mohsen Abdullah said: "Baghdad, along with Tehran, intends to sue the US government over the assassination of Major General Ghasem Soleimani, late commander of the IRGC's Quds Force, and Abu Mahdi al-Mohandis, deputy head of the Iraqi People's Mobilization Organization."
According to the Iraqi ambassador in Tehran, Iraq and Iran will jointly launch a lawsuit to investigate the US crime of assassinating high commanders.
Nasir Abdul Mohsen Abdullah also noted that the Friendship Commission with Iran in the Iraqi parliament is following the decision of the Iraqi representatives to expel US troops from Iraq.
On January 5, two days after the US carried out a terrorist attack leading to the martyrdom of Major General Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Mohandis, the Iraqi parliament voted in favor of the withdrawal of US troops from Iraq and called for its implementation.

Major General Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Mohandes were prominent figures in the fight against takfiri and terrorist groups, including ISIS, in the West Asian region.
