Tehran (IP) - Head of the Iranian Judiciary’s High Council for Human Rights said that the Europeans set a new record in “modern savagery” by taking the Iranian nation’s life and health as a hostage.

Iran Press/Iran News: Referring to Thursday’s European Parliament resolution on the human rights situation in Iran, Ali Bagheri Kani stated on Friday evening that those who prevent innocent children from accessing medicine do not even have the authority to talk about animal rights.

Bagheri Kani pointed out that the spiritual property of “modern savagery” is exclusively in Westerners’ hands, depicted in the sanctions on patients’ medicine.

He stated that the Europeans set a new record in “modern savagery” with the aim of imposing their illegitimate demands by taking the life and health of the Iranian nation as a hostage.

He referred to European countries’ purposeful efforts to prevent sick Iranian children from accessing medicine and said that Europeans are now accused of killing dozens of sick Iranian children, so they do not have the authority to sit in a human rights position.

Regarding yesterday’s European Parliament resolution, he stated that if the sanctions mechanism was implemented against violators of the rights of the Iranian people, some European governments would lose their legitimacy because many European officials have played a major role in violating the rights of the Iranian nation, including the right to life, the right to health, the right to education, the right to employment, and the right to development, by imposing illegal and oppressive sanctions on the Iranian people.
