Tehran (IP) - Iran's foreign minister says the US sanctions have done harm to the American companies, resulting in a loss of jobs in the US.

Iran Press/Iran News: In a tweet on Thursday, Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif addressed the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, saying: "Your own restrictions actually sanctioned US companies out of Iran's market with its unparalleled natural & human resources."

He called the US' Maximum Pressure policy a 'Maximum Failure', adding: "And your illicit 'Maximum Failure' policy canceled Boeing's contract for 88 civilian aircraft—costing Iranian lives, but also American jobs."

The tweet was in response to a recent tweet by Pompeo, in which he announced new sanctions against Iran. The US secretary of state said Washington imposed sanctions on five entities for allegedly engaging in the transport of Iranian petroleum or petrochemical products.
