Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei condemned Israel’s repeated attacks on Yemen’s airports, ports, and power plants as blatant crimes against the Yemeni people.

Why it matters:

The continued Western support for Israel and silence from international bodies like the UN Security Council enable ongoing violence and genocide in West Asia.

The big picture:

Israeli jets targeted several sites in Yemen overnight, including Al Hudaydah ports, Ras Issa, Al Salif, and the central power station at Ras Al-Kathib.

Yemen’s Ansarullah movement declared that these attacks strengthen Yemen’s resolve to support Gaza.

What he's saying:

Esmail Baghaei: “The impunity granted to Israel, backed by the U.S. and other Western countries, fuels continued violations and crimes against the region.”

“All regional and global governments have a legal and moral responsibility to combat genocide in occupied Palestine and hold Israel’s leaders accountable for heinous crimes.”
