Russian State Duma Speaker said that Iran's Parliament Speaker would travel to Moscow this month.

Iran Press/Europe: Vyacheslav Volodin told local media, given the epidemic situation, he believes it would be right for Russia to resume the previous process of communication, and the visit of Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf to Russia is expected by the end of this month.

He stated that the Duma representatives will resume face-to-face meetings with their foreign counterparts this year, and trips to some countries, including the Islamic Republic of Iran, Vietnam, Serbia, and Turkey are planned.

"We are gradually resuming the previous process before the pandemic," he said, noting that "Next year, in terms of the epidemic, should be a year of change for us."

The chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Russian State Duma had invited Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf to visit Russia during a visit to Tehran this summer.

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Vyacheslav Volodin also discussed the latest developments in bilateral relations and regional issues in a telephone conversation on October 5.

According to Russian media reports, a Conference of Speakers of the Parliaments of Russia, Iran, Afghanistan, Turkey, and China on Counter-Terrorism will be held in May 2021 in Sochi.
