Maulana Fazal ur Rehman, head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Pakistan, met with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Reza Amiri Moghadam, and expressed strong solidarity with the Iranian government and people. He firmly condemned the Israeli attacks on Iran and voiced support for all measures taken in defense of the Iranian nation.
The Iranian ambassador and diplomatic staff also met with several Pakistani political and religious leaders. Among them were Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan, Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Chairman Senator Raja Nasir Abbas, and other senior members of their respective parties. These leaders reiterated their unwavering support for the Iranian people.
Barrister Gohar emphasized that PTI’s leadership and its members stand in unity with their Iranian counterparts and strongly denounce Israeli actions.
In a separate meeting, a delegation from the National Unity Council of Pakistan, led by General Secretary Liaquat Baloch, also visited the Iranian ambassador. The group, comprising scholars from various Islamic schools of thought—including Dr. Shabbir Hassan Maysami, Vice President Allama Arif Hussain Wahidi, and Mufti Gulzar Naeemi—expressed unanimous support for Iran. They labeled the Israeli attack a clear violation of international law.
Further affirming Pakistan's support, former Jamaat-e-Islami chief Sirajul Haq, head of Urwah Al-Wuthqa Allama Syed Jawad Naqvi, and Pakistan Ideology Council member Syed Iftikhar Hussain Naqvi also met with the ambassador.
