Iran’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations has called for an urgent meeting of the UNSC, demanding decisive action in response to the Israeli criminal and provocative acts targeting Iran's nuclear and military sites.

In an official and urgent letter to the President of the UNSC, Amir Saeid Iravani requested the convening of an emergency Security Council session and called for robust measures by the international body in response to these criminal and provocative actions.

In the letter, Iravani strongly condemned the Israeli regime’s aggressions against Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities and senior military officials, which were carried out with the backing of the United States.

He stated: “In a reckless, unlawful, and premeditated move, the Israeli regime has launched a series of coordinated military attacks against the nuclear sites and civilian infrastructure of the Islamic Republic of Iran. These actions constitute a blatant violation of the United Nations Charter and fundamental principles of international law, and their dangerous consequences pose a serious threat to regional and international peace and security.”
