Vienna (IP) - "The next meeting of the Joint Commission of Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) will be held in Vienna on December 16th at the level of political directors", Permanent Representative of Russia to International Organizations in Vienna tweeted.

Iran PressEurope: "The meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss ongoing activities to preserve the JCPOA, including in the preparation of Ministerial exchanges at a later stage," Mikhail Ulyanov noted.

"Given the current situation and the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, the prospect of negotiations between the United States and Iran is unpredictable," Ulyanov told Russia-24.

"Dialogue between the United States and Iran is possible, but the situation is currently unpredictable, and there are many factors that have complicated the calculations," he said.

However, the Russian diplomat explained that Biden would take a more constructive stance on the JCPOA if he enters the White House.

"Continuing International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) verification activities in Iran is in the interests of Iran and the international community as a whole," Ulyanov said.

"Adherence to the JCPOA and international obligations is essential, and in the interests of the international community, Permanent Representative of Russia to International Organizations in Vienna highlighted.
