Iraq (IP) - The head of the Iraqi movement of Asaib Ahl al-Haq called the Saudi regime's efforts to get dominance over parts of Iraq under the pretext of investment as futile.

Iran PressMiddle East: In a statement, Qais al-Khazali called on different classes of Iraqi people to demonstrate their opposition to the Saudi regime's efforts to get dominance over parts of Iraq, including Anbar, Najaf, Muthanna, and Basra provinces under the shield of investment in agriculture in order to create intimidation and insecurity. The Saudi project has very dangerous security threats; because it is supposed to be carried out by a regime that has a long background of harming the security and stability of Iraq, the statement added.

The Iraqi figure pointed to the coincidence of the Saudis' project and their normalization of ties with the Israeli regime and said: "the Israeli regime is the eternal enemy of Iraq and is in fact under the leadership and support of the Saudi regime."

He pointed out that the Saudi project leads to heavy economic damage to the underground water reservoir, due to the type of cultivations are to be done there.
