Tehran (IP) - President of the Supreme National Defense University Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi said that the US presence in West Asia is over.

Iran PressIran News: Delivering a speech in the closing ceremony of a conference on 'Decline of the US', General Vahidi stated that the US cannot impose its decisions on other countries and that it must leave the region.

Referring to the US internal problems such as racism, he noted that based on the latest polls,75% of American citizens do not consider the country a proper place to live.

Even the American elite are talking about the US decline, a belief which is not limited to specific countries, he highlighted.

The US lost its political power and cannot even affect its European allies, General Vahidi noted and added that the example of such a fact was seen in Iran’s arms embargo which European countries did not follow the US.

"49% of the American families have problems with supporting their daily costs, and we can see that the US economic power has lessened, being considered as a country with the largest amount of debt," he stated.

The Iranian military official also pointed to the military presence of the US in the western Asian region and noted that the US military cannot win in Iraq, Yemen, and Syria.

At the end of the conference, a series of books were unveiled with the US decline theme, which is available both in paper and electronic.
