Iran Press/ Iran News: Speaking on the sidelines of the military exercise, codenamed ‘Lovers of Velayat-99,’ on Sunday in the northwestern region of the country, Brigadier General Kiomars Heydari added: "This exercise was a new assessment of the combat capability of the army and the different stages of the drill were pursued with the same offensive spirit."
He added: "In this exercise, combat units performed night operations and pursuits well and implemented the necessary tactics."
The Iranian army's ground force held one-day drills in the country's northwestern border regions on Sunday.
