Iran Press/ Asia: During the meeting with Iran's Alireza Haghighian on Thursday, Rahimzadeh referred to the growing cooperation between Iran and Tajikistan and discussed regional developments and shared challenges.
The Tajik interior minister highlighted the necessity of escalating cooperation between the Interior Ministry of the two countries, especially in counter-terrorism, combating extremism, organized crime, drug trafficking, and human trafficking.
Iran's Haghighian, for his part, hailed the robust relations between the two countries, saying that the ties are rooted in cultural and linguistic bonds.
The Iranian envoy stated that the Iranian Interior Ministry was fully prepared to further promote cooperation with Tajikistan's Ministry of Internal Affairs.
