Islamabad (IP) - Two fierce encounters took place between Pakistani troops and the terrorists in the North and South Waziristan Districts, resulting in the killing of twelve terrorists.

Iran PressAsia:  On 19 September, a movement a group of seven terrorists, trying to infiltrate the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, was detected by security forces in the general area of Spinwam, North Waziristan District.

The infiltrators were surrounded, and effectively engaged and after an intense fire exchange, all seven terrorists were eliminated.

A large quantity of weapons, ammunition, and explosives were also recovered.

In a second incident in the general area of Ladha, South Waziristan District, a group of terrorists attacked a security forces’ post.

Pakistani troops fought back foiling the attempts of intrusion and killed five terrorists. However, during an intense exchange of fire, six soldiers sacrificed their lives.

Security operations are being conducted to eliminate any other terrorists present in the area.
