Iranian embassy in Baku condemns attack on civilians

Baku (IP)- In a statement, the Iranian embassy in Baku called on the parties involved in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict to abide by international and humanitarian law and condemned any violation of the rights of innocent people, as well as the destruction and damage to civilian facilities, and property.

Iran PressAsia: Since the outset of new clashes between the two sides and surrounding seven cities, many Azerbaijanis, including women and children, were killed and wounded, and also civilian facilities, have been destroyed.

The Office of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan reported that 19 innocent people were killed, 63 wounded, 44 civilian places, and 181 houses were destroyed in the clashes on October 3.

The Iranian embassy stressed the need to respect human rights and international humanitarian law and strongly condemned any harm to the people.
