Tehran (IP) - The secretary of the Iranian Electronic Games Association said Iran is among the top 10 countries in the world in electronic sports, robotics, and artificial intelligence.

Iran PressIran News: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on Friday, Loqman Shahvarani said that Iranian athletes active in electronic games, especially in virtual football, have a world ranking.

"Last year, Hassan Pajani became the world champion in the virtual football game, and this year, Masih Mohafezekar became the world runner-up," Shahvarani noted.

The first stage of the Iranian E-sports competition for national team qualification was held in Milad Tower, Tehran.

In these competitions, which were held on Friday in Milad Tower, Tehran, 256 selected provincial competitors participated and competed in the knockout round.

These competitions have been held for 4 days in 4 FIFA and e-football games and two mobile games of chess and Clash Royale.

The second stage of the qualification round for the national electronic games team will also be held in Tehran this year in November.
