Tehran (IP) - Iran's Oli Minister Bijan Zangeneh expressed that although cooperating with universities in oil had many achievements, linking the oil industry with universities has been the most important one, resulting in enhancing oil recovery.

Iran Press/Iran News: Delivering a speech in a ceremony held to sign 13 research contracts to increase recovery factors in the oil field, Zangeneh announced that selected universities have been volunteered to sign contracts with the Oil Ministry which shows that proper cooperation exists between the oil industry and scientific centers.

"Cooperating with universities can enhance the increase of human resources, develop researches in oil and gas, and benefit professional potentials," Zanganeh added.

The minister said: "We are always ready to help universities across the country, and the oil research center is ready to work with all researchers in Iran."

"In the downstream section, proper steps have been taken, but our goal is to produce Urea and Ammonia".

Zanganeh concluded: "Our goal is reaching to 37 billion dollars in petrochemical productions till 2025."

13 research contracts to increase recovery factor in oil and gas, with the value of 35 million Euros (716 billion Toman), were signed between the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) and research centers.

These contracts were signed on Monday in attendance of Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh to overdraft between the Oil Ministry and universities of Tehran, Sharif, Amirkabir, Sahand Tabriz, Oil industry, Islamic Azad, Ferdowsi Mashhad, Science and Industry, Shahid Chamran Ahwaz, Isfahan Industrial University, Persian Gulf University, and Oil research center.

These contracts aim at the technical development of oil tanks which have started since 2015 by the cooperation between NIOC and research centers to investigate methods of increasing extraction from oil fields.

Through these contracts over 22 oil fields were given to universities and research centers in Iran to be studied.

Head of Islamic Azad University Mohammad Mahdi Tehranchi in this ceremony emphasized keeping the present role of science and research in the oil industry and noted that today, a big evolution has happened in the science and research part of the oil and gas industry of Iran.
