Iran's President Hassan Rouhani Congratulates Japan's new PM, Yoshihide Suga

Tehran(IP): Iran's President Hassan Rouhani in a message Congratulated Japan's new PM and hoped for an extended economic and political relationship between the two nations in the future.

Iran PressIran News: Congratulating the election of "Suga Yoshihideh" as Prime Minister of Japan, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran expressed hope that the friendly relations between Iran and Japan and cooperation in various fields, especially in the economic and trade fields, will further expand.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Thursday sent a message to Yoshihide Suga congratulating him on his election as Prime Minister of Japan and thanking former Japanese Prime Minister Abe Shinzō for the ongoing consultations.

The Islamic Republic of Iran and Japan, especially in 2019, on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the establishment of political relations, which coincided with the reciprocal visit of the leaders of the two countries to each other's capitals, opened a new chapter to expand ties in all areas of interest.

Emphasizing that the policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran has always been to promote peace and security, respect and mutual adherence to international commitments and agreements, Rouhani stated: "Accordingly, I hope that consultations and joint efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Japan on regional and international issues continue internationally.

Yoshihide Suga became the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan (ruling party) on Monday and became the Prime Minister of Japan on Wednesday with a  parliament vote.
