Arab countries paying for Trump's election: GC Spokesman

Tehran (IP) - Guardian Council spokesman Abbasali Kadkhodaei in a twitter post said that Arab countries are paying for Donald Trump's election by normalizing their relations with the Zionist regime.

Iran PressIran News: The Guardian Council spokesman wrote on his twitter page: "The normalization of relations between the Arab countries of the region and the Zionist child-killing regime does not help the rights of the oppressed Palestinian people, and it is expenditures of Trump's campaign that Arab governments pay from the pockets of their people generously."

Manama and Tel Aviv agreed on Friday to fully normalize diplomatic relations following US President Donald Trump's efforts to facilitate the normalization of relations between the two sides.

Yesterday, the Iranian parliament speaker's special aide for international affairs, Hossein Amirabdollahian condemned Bahrain's agreement with the Zionist regime to normalize relations as a great betrayal to the Islamic cause & Palestinians in a twitter post.

Bahrain, a tiny island kingdom off the eastern coast of Saudi Arabia in the Persian Gulf, has strategic significance for Washington as the host for the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet.

The announcement follows one last month by Israel and the UAE that they would normalize relations with each other, on the condition that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel not follow through with plans to annex portions of the West Bank. Trump administration officials said that they hoped that agreement would encourage other Arab countries with historically hostile relations toward Israel to take similar steps.

The agreement was brokered in large part by Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, who has led the administration’s effort to strike a peace deal between Israel and the Palestinians.
