Kermanshah (IP) - The regional event of World Wood Day in 2020 was hosted by Kermanshah, western Iran, and was held in the historical-cultural site of Taq-e Bostan.

Iran Press/ Iran news: The 'World Wood Day' is held every year in March in one of the countries of the world. In this event, prominent wood artists from 100 countries are invited.

This year, the regional event of World Wood Day in Iran was hosted by Kermanshah and was held for four days (September 8 to 11, 2020) in the historical-cultural site of Kermanshah Taq-e Bostan.

During these four days, 15 woodcarving and sculpting artists from Kermanshah made a work of Bisotun Inscription in cuneiform in the size of 105 x 180 cm from wood.

Taq-e Bostan is a historical monument left from the Sassanid historical period, which is located in the heart of 'Paraw' mountains in Kermanshah.

This monument is one of the most important and valuable written documents of antiquity and has always been of interest to history lovers, scholars and tourists.
