Energy Minister underscores development of Afghanistan-Iran economic ties

Tehran (IP): During a meeting with the Afghan Ambassador to Iran, the Energy Minister emphasized the comprehensive development of economic relations between the two countries.

Iran PressIran News: Reza Ardakanian in a meeting with "Abdulghafoor Lival", the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to Iran, on Tuesday evening, referring to his visit to Afghanistan last year and making good agreements to develop relations, said, "During that visit, President Ghani issued the necessary orders to operate electrical projects, including renewable ones, solve banking problems, etc., but our follow-up so far had no definite answer."

Emphasizing the Islamic Republic of Iran's principled stance on the political and security developments in Afghanistan, the Afghan ambassador noted, "The Afghan government, taking into account the national interests and showing the necessary flexibility, set the conditions for peace talks between the Taliban and the Afghan government."

He also thanked the Islamic Republic of Iran for its wise stance on the developments in Afghanistan and called for its continuation in the future.
