Tehran (IP) - Following Iran's consultations with the United Nations, Ali Asghar Khaji, Iranian Foreign Minister’s Senior Assistant, spoke with UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy for Syria Geir O. Pedersen.

Iran Press/Iran News: During the talks, the two sides discussed the latest developments in Syria, especially the third meeting, which is currently being held in Geneva.

In this meeting, Khaji stressed the support of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the political settlement of the Syrian crisis and the continuation of the talks of the Constitutional Committee.

Pederson also praised Iran's role in supporting the work of the Constitutional Committee and expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the first day of talks. 101
