Tehran (IP) - A senior member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Iran's Parliament rejected US media allegations over-contribution of the Islamic Republic in the killing of US troops by Taliban in Afghanistan and called it baseless.

Iran Press/Iran News: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on the sideline of the open session of the Parliament (Majlis) on Wednesday morning, Fadah-Hossein Maliki added: "Whenever the Americans do not achieve their goals against Iran, they start to accuse our country, and the Iranian nation is aware of the US hostile behavior against their country for decades.

American TV News Channel CNN, earlier this week claimed that it has learned that Tehran offered bounties to Taliban militias for targeting American and coalition troops in Afghanistan.

Iranian senior MP, Fadah-Hossein Maliki Answering the question on the US achievements in the occupation of Afghanistan after 18 years, stated that US presence in Afghanistan was nothing more than killing the oppressed people of Afghanistan and Iran as a regional power, as well as China and Russia are worried about the US presence in Afghanistan.

The people of Afghanistan are dissatisfied and worried about the US presence in that country, he noted. 

The member of the National Security Commission of the Parliament concluded that US actions in Iraq, Lebanon, and Yemen show US illegal involvement in these countries, and people of these countries are protesting against the wrongdoing of the US.
