Tehran (IP) - The spokeswoman for the Iranian Ministry of Health, Sima Sadat Lari said on Thursday that fortunately, 292,058 patients have recovered and discharged so far.

Iran Press/Iran News: Sima Sadat Lari also said, so far, 328,844 people in the country have definitely been infected with the COVID-19 and 292,058 patients have recovered and discharged so far.

The spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health Thursday referred to the latest data on the coronavirus and the deaths caused by the virus, saying: "According to the definitive laboratory findings and from yesterday to 13 August, 2,625 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed."

"Also, the number of patients with this disease reached 328,844. 

 1,246 of the new patients were hospitalized in the past 24 hourse," she added.

The Spokeswoman said, "Unfortunately, in the past 24 hours, 174 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, and  19,162 people have lost their lives in the country to date."

The official stated: "3,971 patients are in intensive care units. 2,711,817 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted in the country.

She added: Mazandaran, Tehran, Qom, Golestan, North Khorasan, Ardabil, Isfahan, Alborz, Khorasan Razavi, Kerman, Semnan, East Azerbaijan, Markazi, Yazd, and Gilan provinces are in the red zone.“

The provinces of Fars, Ilam, Lorestan, Hormozgan, Zanjan, Qazvin, West Azerbaijan, Bushehr, Hamedan, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad are also on alert,” the spokeswoman concluded.
