Tehran (IP) - The head of Iran's judiciary said that the councils must deal with any influence, rent-seeking and corruption, and anything that seeks to violate the public rights of the people of towns and villages.

Iran PressIran newsSeyyed Ibrahim Raisi in the meeting of the Supreme Council of the Provinces on Thursday, said: "The philosophy of establishing judicial provincial council is to develop the economic affairs of cities and villages and to promote culture and services to the people, and this philosophy should not be forgotten or lost."

The head of the judiciary added: the city and village council should work for the development of cities in economic, social, cultural, health, service, and development.

Seyyed Ibrahim Raisi continued: "The councils must confront any deviation that violates the rights of the people."
