Tehran (IP) - Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman stressed that signing an oil contract between the US and a Kurdish occupying group in the Syrian soil is of no legal credit.

Iran PressIran News: Abbas Mousavi considered the oil contract signed between the US and a Syrian Kurdish group is an act against the international law and in violation of the Syrian national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and condemned it.

Noting that the US signing the contract in Syria is of no legitimacy, Mousavi said that it is another US step in stealing Syrian natural resources.

The US Al-Hurra TV network earlier reported that Mazloum Abdi, the commander of the Kurdish militants known as Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) has signed a contract with a US oil company.

The Syrian Foreign Ministry on Sunday called the agreement as a Syrian oil robbery, stressing that the agreement was invalid and illegal.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry also on Monday condemned the agreement, calling it a violation of international law. 104/207
