Iran Press/Iran News: Speaking in a phone call initiative by Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Thursday, Hassan Rouhani congratulated the government and people of Qatar on Eid al-Adha and expressed hope that the feast would bring blessings for all Muslims around the world and everyone can take advantage of its blessings.
The President described the relations between Iran and Qatar, as two old neighbours, positive and said, "The Islamic Republic of Iran considers no obstacles or restrictions for the development of relations and cooperation with Qatar as a friendly and brotherly country".
Rouhani expressed hope that with the efforts of the officials of the two countries in the Joint Economic Commission of Iran and Qatar, cooperation and economic relations between the two countries would develop, and in the near future, the meeting of the officials of the two countries would be held.
Referring to the need to develop Iran-Qatar relations, given the critical situation in the region, the President said, "Security and stability in the region can only be achieved within the framework of regional cooperation, and we can certainly bring better conditions for the region by deepening cooperation".
During the telephone conversation, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani also congratulated Eid al-Adha to the Iranian government of nation, and expressed hope that the feast would be good and blessed for Muslim nations around the world.
Referring to the need to develop economic relations and cooperation between Iran and Qatar, the Emir of Qatar stated, "Development of relations and cooperation with Iran has always been important for Qatar and I hope that by overcoming the difficulties, good steps will be taken to further develop the relations between the two countries".
