Iran Press/ Iran news: Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf has addressed Amir-Abdollahian in a text which reads: "Due to your religious and revolutionary commitment as well as valuable backgrounds and experiences in the field of foreign policy, and in particular in supporting the liberation of al-Quds and Palestine, you are appointed to this position and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Palestine International Conference Secretariat."
The Sixth International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Intifada was held in Tehran in March 2016 with the presence of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei at the opening ceremony and the participation of 700 foreign guests, including world Parliament Speakers, political and resistance leaders.
The Palestinian Secretariat monitors developments of this area in a professional manner, along with parliamentary diplomacy.
According to the Statute of the Secretariat, 4 members of Iran's Parliament together with the Secretary-General are members of the Board of Trustees of the International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Intifada. 207
