Tehran (IP) - Developing South Azadegan oilfield is run by the knowledge and potential of Iranian specialists, the Minister of Petroleum Bijan Namdar Zangeneh said.

Iran PressIran News: On the sideline of the ceremony which was held on Monday at Petroleum Ministry to sign contracts between NIOC and Petropars company, the minister attended among the press and responded to Iran Press question on the importance of these contracts especially in sanction period.

The minister stated that if there is cooperation with foreign countries, it is not limited to investing only, it is to achieve technology and increasing the recovery rate of oil fields.

He also added that we seek constructive interdependence to find suitable markets for export.

Referring to the sanctions which were imposed on our country, Zangeneh said that we will never halt our way even if they will not cooperate with us and we have proven through the years that we will progress in the best possible way.

Two Iranian oil companies of National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) and Petropars signed two contacts in a ceremony on Monday.

The first contract which aims at developing south Azadegan oilfield will produce 320,000  barrels of crude oil and 200 million cubic feet of gas per day in 30 months with a total value of 961 million dollars and 1183 billion tomans.

The second contract aimed at building the biggest Central Treatment Export Plant (CTEP) with the capacity of producing 320,000 oil barrels per day in 30 months with a total value of 300 million dollars.
