Marzouq Al-Ghanim, Speaker of Kuwaiti Parliament

The Speaker of the Kuwaiti Parliament called for a decisive stance by the Arab states and the international community in response to the Zionist regime's attempt to annex the West Bank.

Iran PressMiddle East: Marzouq Al-Ghanim said that the Zionist regime's defiance of international resolutions, especially those related to the territories occupied in 1967, should be met with strong and practical positions by Arab countries and the international community.

He added that on behalf of my brothers in the Kuwaiti parliament, we strongly reject all these plans (annexation) and hostile efforts, and we declare our readiness to cooperate with the all Arab's parliaments in the region and friendly countries in all international parliamentary assemblies to eliminate the Zionist efforts and to form the public opinion of the people of the world against these vile efforts.

The Zionist regime was supposed to implement a plan to add 30 percent of the West Bank to the occupied territories from July 1, but as pressure from the Palestinians and various countries intensified, the Israeli regime was forced to postpone the implementation of the annexation plan.
