Iran Press/ Asia: Thousands protested despite the rainy weather. The flags of Sweden and Israel were pasted on the walkways with slogans of Shame on Sweden and Shame on Israel.
While addressing the protesters, religious scholars said that there were clear directions from the Holy Quran that Jews and Christians can't be friends with Muslims, and that's why they disrespect our religion again and again; that's why every Muslim should come out to show solidarity with the Holy Quran.
The head of Jamiat Ulma e Islam Pakistan, Maulana Fazal Ur Rehman, said that the desecration of the Holy Quran is unacceptable for any Muslim; no religion allows to defame the other's faith, and now it should not be tolerated anymore.
He urged the Islamic World to recall their Ambassadors from Sweden.
"The world should know that for the honor of The Holy Quran all the Islamic World is like one body, one strength, and if our demand will not practically answered and accepted, then we will protest every Friday", he said. Maulana further noted that Europe's plans to end Islam will not be successful.
Muslims respect all divine books, their patience should not be tested, we will not allow Israel's conspiracies and success, and there is no place for Israel's interference and spies in Pakistan.
