Iran Press/ Iran news: Commemorating the International Quds Day, the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement on Thursday that with the strategic initiative of Imam Khomeini(RA), the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, nominating the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as "International Quds Day", an important change has occurred in the level of attention of the Islamic Ummah and human society to the Palestinian issue.
The IRGC statement stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran's support of the Palestinian cause and the liberation of Quds, which is a strategic goal for the Islamic Republic, shattered the dreams of the Zionist regime and its supporters.
Field facts in Palestine and the actions of some traitorous heads of Arab states in normalizing relations with the Zionists show that the strategy of the Axis of Resistance in supporting the Quds Intifada has important achievements, which its ultimate goal is to invalidate the Zionist "deal of the century" and overthrowing the Zionist regime.
International Quds Day, is an annual event held on the last Friday of Ramadan that was initiated by Founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Khomeini in 1979 to express support for the Palestinians and oppose the Zionist regime of Israel.
This year's World Quds Day is on May 22, 2020.
