Tehran (IP) - Iranian Minister of Interior said the Ministry is trying to hold the next elections in the country electronically.

Iran PressIran News: In a meeting at the Interior Ministry on Tuesday, Abdolreza Rahmani-Fazli noted that the electronic election is pivotal for the Islamic Republic of Iran so that the enemies couldn't chastise Iran's elections.

Rahmani-Fazli stressed the importance of the election and called it as one of the important achievements of the Islamic Revolution because people's destiny has been defined by their vote.

"This year the parliamentary election turnout was low due to political matters, winter and Coronavirus outbreak but all succeeded in holding the election with full security and we are waiting for the 11th parliament to be shaped and established," the Minister said.

He pointed to the conditions, sanctions, and worldwide economic recession and stressed that the government and new parliament, as well as all other agencies in the country, must try to solve people's problems.
