Iranian ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali said recent US moves in Iraq were a violation of Iraq's independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

Iran PressEurope: Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali said in a telephone conversation with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Presidential Special Envoy for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov that US actions in Iraq could lead to instability in the country and the region as a whole.

Jalali also praised Russia's stance against US cruel and inhumane sanctions against the Iranian nation and added, "It is time for the whole world to take one voice against US unilateral action."

In the telephone conversation, Bogdanov emphasized the need to continue consultations between Iran and Russia on regional developments, while elaborating on the situation in Iraq.

Following suspicious US military movements in Iraq and reports of Washington's attempt to target some Islamic resistance groups and al-Hashd al-Shaabi, serious concerns have been raised in Iraq about US arbitrary measures.
