Tehran (IP) - Iranian Foreign Ministery spokesman in an interview with Iran Press correspondent said recent US acts in Iraq are against the nation's demand and violation of their sovereignty.

Iran PressIran news: In response to Iran Press correspondent's question about the latest developments in Iraq, Iranian Foreign Ministery spokesman Seyyed Abbas Moussavi said that the recent military movements done by the US in Iraq are against the Iraqi nation, government and parliament’s demand.

Iranian Foreign Ministery's spokesman said these acts are against what has been ratified in Iraq’s parliament. It is a violation of the sovereignty of Iraq. All these movements are threatening and endangering the region.

In recent developments, US fighter jets have intensified their suspicious and reconnaissance flights over the skies of Baghdad in recent days.

This is while Iraqi Caretaker Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi, in his remarks on 30 March released to Iraqi media, noted that he was concerned about reports of unauthorized flights near Iraqi military bases.

The caretaker prime minister has not spoken out about these illegal flights and their possible purposes.

Following the US assassinated Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani, and Abu Mahdi al-Mohandis on Iraqi soil, the expulsion of US troops from Iraq has become one of the most important demands of large numbers of Iraqi people and groups and consequently, the Iraqi parliament also approved the bill to expel the US troops.

Many Iraqi figures and parliamentary factions have been long demanding the withdrawal of US troops from the country, specifically following a series of unclaimed airstrikes on PMF forces.
