US, Israel to fail to change Quds identity

The spokesman for the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) said the US and Israeli regime efforts to change the identity of the city of al-Quds will fail.

Iran Press/Middle East: Hazim Qasim said the US State Department's move to refer the term "non-Israeli citizens" to the Palestinians living in al-Quds is a new crime by the regime against the Palestinian nation.

Qasim added that the US aggressive positions and policies are part of its major crime against the Palestinian nation, the "Deal of the Century", which is totally in favor of the Zionist regime.

In its annual report on human rights conditions in the world, the US State Department last Wednesday changed the usual interpretation of Palestinian residents of Eastern al-Quds and used "non-Israeli residents" instead of "Palestinian residents of Quds".
