Iran ambassador to the United Nations, Majid Takht-e Ravanchi

Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations has blasted the United States’ attempts at spreading “disinformation” about the Islamic Republic and said that the disinformation campaign against Iran continues.

Iran PressAmerica: Iran's ambassador to the United Nations, Majid Takht-e Ravanchi tweeted on Friday that the disinformation campaign against Iran continues.

He added in reaction to US officials' statements about the seizure of dispatched weapons to Yemen and linking it to Iran that the US propaganda campaign against Iran still continues.

Apart from the empty claim about the confiscation of Iranian weapons to Yemen, the US abuses UN reports to say that Iran is responsible for attacks on Saudi Arabia's oil installations.

This is while the UN report has made no reference to Iran's involvement in the strikes, he said.

The UN Experts Committee released a report on Wednesday dealing with issues, including sending arms to Yemen and strikes on Saudi Arabia's oil installations, but the experts have failed to conclude that Iran was the source of sending arms to Yemen. The UN report also makes no reference to any Iranian involvement in the strikes on Saudi oil facilities.
