Iran Press/ Iran News: People of Rasht poured out onto the streets to celebrate the 41st anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
Despite the heavy snowfall, thousands of people of Rasht attended the various rallies and marches in the streets of different cities of Gilan province, waving Iranian flags and portraits of late Imam Khomeini, the Founder of the Islamic Republic, and Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution to show their support of the Islamic system.
The anniversary of the Islamic Revolution is celebrated on 22 Bahman (11 February). It commemorates the protests that led to the downfall of the Pahlavi dynasty and the triumph of the Islamic Revolutionary headed by the late Imam Khomeini (may his soul rest in peace). 212/ 104/211
