Tehran (IP) - Head of Iran's Emergency Medical Services Pir-Hossein Kolivand announced on Wednesday morning that no one has been survived in the plane crash near the Imam Khomeini International Airport southern Tehran.

Iran Press/Iran news: The plane is reported to be a Boeing 737 which belongs to Ukraine airlines. Ukraine International Airlines was on the way from Tehran to Kiev that crashed after taking off on early Wednesday.

The primary information shows that the plane was carrying 171 passengers and crew on board.

A Ukrainian Airline Boeing 737 has crashed shortly after takeoff from Imam Khomeini International Airport about 30 kilometers south of Tehran.

Iran denies Saudi media reports of Ukrainian plane crash

Aviation sources said the Ukrainian passenger plane crashed five hours after the Iranian missile attack on US bases in Iraq, and claims by Saudi Arabia-based media about the incident were completely false.

Some Saudi media claimed that a missile may have hit the Ukrainian passenger plane.
